THE WOMAN FROM NAGASAKI, Interactive Performance

Collaborative artists: Tatiana Koroleva (concept, text, performance) and Bob Olivier (sound, performance)

La Maison de Poupee, La Baraque Gallery, Montreal, QC, Canada, 2013

The performance tells a love-story of a Japanese cabaret dancer and a captain of a trade European ship. The tragedy of their relationships unveils the subjects of eternal love, search for transcendental truth and reconciliation with one’s own loss. Told in pantomime, singing, puppetry and interactive performance, the story of The Woman from Nagasaki invites the audience on a journey within the dark spots of one’s memory. (Photo: Gerry Lauzon)
